Professor Liam Kennedy is experienced in giving interviews on a wide variety of topics.
A native of Northern Ireland, he received his higher degrees from University of Nottingham and was a lecturer in American Studies at University of Birmingham before coming to UCD.
Prof Kennedy is an expert in fields of American Studies, including American culture, politics and foreign policy. He has particular interest in the relationship between US domestic and international affairs, including transatlantic relations, and in the role of media in framing understanding of the US. He is the author of books on American intellectuals and on urban culture in the US; he is currently writing books on images of America at war and on public diplomacy in the twenty-first century.
Dr. David Fitzgerald is an expert in US history, foreign policy and contemporary politics. His current work explores the influence on memory and history on US Army counterinsurgency doctrine. Dr. Fitzgerald studied in Ireland and the US and has appeared on RTE radio, including Morning Ireland and Off the Shelf.
