International Students

International students are encouraged to apply to study at the Clinton Institute, taking either the MA or PhD programme. If you have a query about eligibility please contact the Institute manager. For details of particular relevance to international students at UCD please visit the website for the International Office.

International students have a very full experience at UCD, the largest university in Ireland, and also benefit from being located in Dublin, one of Europe's most vibrant cities. Ireland's rich history and culture, and its global outlook today, are important contexts for study at the Institute. We focus particular attention on transatlantic issues, including US relations with Ireland and Western Europe.

Everyone at the Clinton Institute makes a special effort to welcome students from across the world and help them be a significant part of the student body. We run a broad, dynamic programme of events for students, including research seminars and excursions linked to Institute studies. The Institute is currently planning to create internship links with cultural, media and political organisations in Ireland and the US.
